Washington State requires that we have the proper paperwork to take your junk car, so please provide one piece of the following documentation to scrap a vehicle:
- A certificate of title signed by the legal owner with matching ID
- An affidavit of lost title, which can be obtained from the Department of Licensing
- A junk vehicle affidavit, which is completed by an officer of your local law enforcement agency
All vehicles are cut up and sold as scrap metal and EH Metal Recycling does no retail sales of vehicles or parts
Documents & Forms to:
Things Required before you bring your Vehicle in (Not Optional):
- Have your paperwork above & your ID
- Remove Personal Belongings
- Remove the License Plates
- Tires must be removed
- AC Freon drain properly & 6 Schrader valves removed
- Mercury Switches Removed.
- Remove all unexploded Airbags
Optional for max pay:
- Remove ALL FLUIDS such as Oil, Coolant, & Transmission Fluid. (Only for max price)
- Oil pan oil filter must be removed on the engine & transmission or Visible Large holes. (Only for max price)
- Remove Battery (Save it, we will buy it separate).
- Catalytic Convert leave on (Only for max price)
Vehicle Parts Recycling Requirements
Washington State requires that we have the proper paperwork to take your junk car parts. All vehicles parts are cut up and sold as scrap metal and EH Metal Recycling does no retail sales of vehicles or parts.
Please use our check list to meet full requirements
Things Required before you bring your Vehicle Parts in:
- Have the VIN Number of the Vehicle the part came off of & your ID
- Remove ALL FLUIDS such as Oil, Coolant, & Transmission Fluid from the part
- Oil pan oil filter must be removed on the engine, transmission/Transfer case or differential.
- Major Component Parts like Cab, Door panel, Truck bed or box, Hood Fender Require VIN # of vehicle to Recycle them.
Parts we DON’T buy:
- ANY PART WITH FLUID NOT REMOVED
- Air Bags
- Tires or Wheels/Rims with Tires on them
- Any part with mercury as a component
- Oil Filters
- Gas tanks that have not been properly drain & fumigated
